I don't get it

I don't understand Twitter.  I just don't.  It is not intuitive on how you 'add' people, or what the whole point of the darn thing is. 

I'm a smart lady.  I don't pat my own back that much at all, but I AM smart. 

And I seriously DON'T get it.

Drat.
